This is a weekly newsletter for Podcast Movement event and community updates.

It's PM23 time!

The entire PM team (and several thousand of our closest friends) are in Denver as we speak, as Podcast Movement 2023 kicks off in an hour with our orientations and partner workshops. We're looking forward to seeing so many of you!

Today, we're highlighting all of the can't-miss things happening throughout the week. If you're not here, THERE'S STILL TIME TO GET TO DENVER AN JOIN US FOR THE OFFICIAL DAY 1 TOMORROW.

Can't Miss Keynotes, Parties, and More!

There is so much going on this week that it's hard to capture it all in one place….but here goes nothing:

Monday, August 21 (TODAY)

• Pre-Conference Workshops (pre-registration required for some workshops) – Aurora C and Aurora D Ballrooms

• New Attendee Orientation – Session 1 – 9:00 am in Aurora B

• New Podcaster Primer – presented by Captivate – 12:00 pm in Aurora B

• New Attendee Orientation – Session 2 – 3:00 pm in Aurora B

• Early Check-In & Badge Pickup Party – presented by Veritone One – 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm in Aurora A (come and go, pick up your badge at any time). If you can't make it, you can get your badge all day on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

• PM23 Kickoff Party – presented by Veritone One – 7:00 pm in Rockies Square (in the conference center lobby). The first 300 to arrive get a free drink ticket!

Tuesday, August 22

• Breakfast with Paramount in Rockies Square (in conference lobby) from 7:00 am – 8:30 am

• Yoga with the CNN Collection in Gaylord Lawn each morning at 7:00 am

• Opening Keynotes featuring Edison Research and Donald Kelly on the Keynote Stage in Aurora A starting at 8:30 am, followed by a full day of panels and breakout sessions

• Speaker & Sponsor Party w/ YEA Networks in Aurora A from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm (Speaker or Sponsor badge required for entry)

• Tuesday Night Party – presented by Wondery in Rockies Square (in conference lobby) from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Join Wondery at Podcast Movement Denver for a celebration of Podcast Movement 2023. Don't miss this chance to connect with other industry leaders over complimentary drinks!

Wednesday, August 23

• Keynotes featuring Tom Webster and Angela Yee on the Keynote Stage in Aurora A starting at 8:30 am, followed by a full day of panels and breakout sessions

• BIPOC Podcast Creators Networking, Presented by Simplecast at 12:30 pm. RSVP IN ADVANCE HERE

• Afternoon Keynote – Your Brain on Podcasts: iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman sits down with neuroscientist, Dr. David Eagleman at 12:45 pm in Aurora A

• Expo Hall Craft Beer Happy Hour in the Podcast Movement Central expo from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Many of our exhibitors will be pouring free drinks from Colorado's top breweries, as a “thank you” for being at PM23!

• Wednesday Night Pary – presented by iHeart at Green Valley Ranch Beer Garden from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Come hang with iHeartPodcast over some cold beverages, tasty food, and lawn games at one of the best beer gardens in the Denver area! Transportation will be provided courtesy of iHeart. Shuttles will pick up/drop off from the Convention Center side of the building near the Veranda located in front of Aurora D/Aurora Corridor.

Thursday, August 24

• Closing Keynotes starting at 8:30 am, featuring June Diane Raphael, Ashley Ray, Adam Sachs, Steve Goldstein of Amplifi Media, and Jay Nachlis of Coleman Insights!

• PM23 After Party w/ AdsWizz + Simplecast Mountain Pass Bar (Inside Gaylord) starting at 1:30 pm at the conclusion of the last sessions. Close out the show with an open bar, free food, various giveaways, live entertainment (think about a rodeo), and of course, good vibes!

Take the Stage This March at Evolutions

We are now accepting applications to speak at Evolutions 2024 next March in Los Angeles.

You'll be asked to submit a working title and description of your proposed session or panel, as well as information about yourself and your podcasting experience.

Keep in mind that last year we had over 600 submissions, and expect more this year. There are a limited number of spots to fill, so please consider submitting!

To wrap things up, we wanted to remind everyone of our Community and Event Codes of Conduct. As the online community continues to grow and evolve, and our next big in-person event gets closer, it's never a bad time to make sure that we are all respectful of one another.
