This is a weekly newsletter for Podcast Movement event and community updates.
It's Wednesday, and you know what that means: more exciting announcements for the biggest event in podcasting, Podcast Movement 2023!
This week we share more about the return of the Podcast Pavilion, preview the home of PM23, announce even more speakers, plus tell you how you can take the stage at our next event this March in Los Angeles.
That's a lot to take care of, so let's do it!
Podcast Movement attracts thousands of podcasters from around the world, so wouldn't it make sense if there was a way to record podcasts live from the event? Well lucky for you, thanks to our partners at YAP Media Podcast Network and GoBoxStudio, you can!
The Pavilion will be going live at PM23 all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and you can now reserve your spot before they fill up.
We're excited to be hosting PM23 this month at the Gaylord Rockies, just outside of Denver, Colorado. If you've never been to Colorado, the Gaylord is one of the best places to call home during your stay!
Featuring indoor and outdoor recreation and relaxation areas, plus one of the best pools and waterparks in the area, we can't wait for you to join us in just a few weeks.
Note that our room block at the Gaylord has sold out, but we've got two nearby overflow hotels where we've negotiated special discounted rates. Check out the Fairfield Inn & Suites and Hyatt House, which are just a short drive away, and have extended great discounts to PM23 attendees! We expect these to sell out as well, so don't delay!
If you missed some of the fun we announced last week, here are a few of the can't-miss highlights!
One of the coolest things about PM is the opportunity to “find your people.” Whether it's podcasters of a similar genre, similar experience level, or something else that you have in common, meetups are a great way to connect with each other.
This year, anyone can host their own meetups during PM, and you can submit to be listed on the event website here!
There's no alternative to starting your day on a high note, and thanks to our friends at the CNN Collection, PM23 attendees can do just that with our instructor-led morning yoga! Join us each morning for yoga that is welcoming to all experience levels.
One of our most exciting new activities at Podcast Movement this year is the debut of the Braindate Lounge. If you're not familiar, Braindating is a combination of education and networking, which allows attendees to either host their own Brain Dates, or join in with others to make the most of their time in Denver.
Next week we'll let you know how you can take part, but we're excited to announce that one Braindate participant will be selected to have their podcast displayed in Times Square this September as a part of International Podcast Day! Stay tuned next week for more information on this amazing prize being offered by our friends at OUTFRONT!
If you're not yet signed up to join over 3,000 podcasters and professionals from around the world this summer, what are you waiting for? Grab your passes before prices GO UP TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT!
Podcast Movement 2023 features hundreds of educational sessions spread across carefully curated tracks, amazing expo halls to discover the latest podcasting tools and technologies, and of course the best networking events and parties in podcasting!
In addition to the action above, we've got some amazing new speakers to announce in this week's update.
Remember, some of these sessions are brand new, while others have already been announced, in which case these are the newest participants in those sessions.
FEATURED SESSION: A View from the Top
Each year at PM, Steven Goldstein of Amplifi Media assembles a group of industry professionals for a conversation about the state of the podcast industry, as seen by some of those “at the top.” This year, Steve will be joined by Eric Nuzum of Magnificent Noise, Jessica Cordova Kramer of Lemonada Media, Paul Anderson of Workhorse Media, and Tamara Zubatiy of Barometer. Join them Tuesday morning at PM23!

Last week we also announced the return of the Podcast Makeover, where a panel of professional broadcasters and podcasters will listen to the first 30 seconds of up-and-coming podcasts, critique the openings, and render a verdict: Yes, they would not continue listening, or no, they would not. Think your podcast is up for it? Submit it and we might include you in the session.
We'll continue to share more participants as the event draws near, but check out the entire list of speakers announced so far!
We are now accepting applications to speak at Evolutions 2024 next March in Los Angeles.
You'll be asked to submit a working title and description of your proposed session or panel, as well as information about yourself and your podcasting experience.
Keep in mind that last year we had over 600 submissions, and expect more this year. There are a limited number of spots to fill, so please consider submitting!
To wrap things up, we wanted to remind everyone of our Community and Event Codes of Conduct. As the online community continues to grow and evolve, and our next big in-person event gets closer, it's never a bad time to make sure that we are all respectful of one another.
With that said, we hope your week is going great, and we can't wait to be back in your inbox soon!
