PM Virtual Keynote Speaker Announcement

Happy Wednesday, PM Family,

This week we're very excited to announce several of the keynote speakers who will help kick off each morning at PM Virtual next month. We're also sharing with you the third round of our speaker announcements for the event!

Podcast Movement Virtual Keynote Speakers

Julián Castro is the former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and a former U.S. presidential candidate. He is also the host of the all-new Our America podcast. Julián reimagines America in conversation with real people all over the country who are struggling, aspiring, and trying to reach their dreams. Each week he works toward solutions with community leaders, big thinkers, and cultural icons, exploring how issues like poverty, race, gender, and immigration status intersect to shape our America and its possibilities.

He will be joined on stage by host of Pod Save the People and producer of The Untold Story: Policing DeRay Mckesson, former Acting Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and host of In the Bubble Andy Slavitt, and Lemonada Media founders Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs. This roundtable discussion will focus on the topic of fast-tracked podcast production in the era of fast news cycles, social-media conversations, and on-the-scene activism.

Lilian Garcia is a multitalented Spanish-American singer/songwriter, television personality, and producer. She first captured the hearts of millions as a WWE announcer and singer, best known for hosting the #1 rated television show, Monday Night Raw – and making history as the first woman ever to announce WrestleMania. Since 2017 she has been the host of the Chasing Glory podcast, which provides an all-access pass to human interest stories with famous athletes and entertainers.

Lilian will speak about how the podcast medium is not biased to who you are; it is still more of a level playing field than any other mainstream form of media. Influence may open doors, but it's still up to the host and producers of the show to set the tone and create the best show they can.

Pat Flynn is no stranger to the Podcast Movement keynote stage. Pat was our opening keynote speaker at PM15 and PM18, and we are proud to have him return this year. Pat has several podcasts, including the chart-topping Smart Passive Income, and lately, he's been doing daily video live streams for almost 200 days in a row!

We are excited to hear what he has to share with the PM community, as it's going to be about something that podcasters of all sizes and experience levels want to do more of: grow their show!

We're so thrilled to feature these three excellent keynote talks and can't wait to announce even more keynote speakers in the coming weeks.
