PM EVENT NEWS

Angela Yee goes Way Up w/ Podcast Movement this August

Businesswoman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and highly-decorated radio and podcast host Angela Yee will be taking the keynote stage this August in Denver!

After more than ten years as a host of the nationally-syndicated Radio Hall of Fame show, The Breakfast Club, Yee recently took to the airwaves with her own daily syndicated show, Way Up with Angela Yee (through Premiere Networks). She also is the host of the highly-popular Lip Service podcast, which has been publishing weekly since 2015 and is with iheartMedia.

Angela is a Radio Hall of Fame inductee, the recipient of two prestigious Gracie awards, the Airblazer award from the Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio Group, and the Talentmasters Morning Show Bootcamp award. Angela also sits on numerous boards including the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies (AFUWI), Nile Rogers' We Are Family Foundation, the Fund for NYC Housing Authority, and The Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute. Yee is an ambassador for the New York Public Library and BSE Global (Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment Group).

As an entrepreneur, Angela is the founder of CUP (Coffee Uplifts People) which has a flagship store in Brooklyn and can be found in retail locations, restaurants, and is the official coffee brand at Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex locations.

We can't wait to welcome her to the main stage next month in Denver!

Last Call for PM23 Scholarship Applications

APPLY BY FRIDAY – SCHOLARSHIPS CLOSE JULY 7!

Podcast Movement was created in 2014 so that the entire community could gather each year in a place to call their own. Of course, many new and/or aspiring podcasters want to join us, but not all are in a financial position to make it happen

Every year, we try our best to help those who are willing, able, and serious about attending Podcast Movement by working with them to make the event financially accessible. We will always attempt to do for some, what we wish we could do for everyone.

What is the scholarship and what does it include?

It's important to note that this scholarship only applies to a Standard Plus Pass for PM23 this August 21-24. The Standard Plus Pass does not include hotel or airfare, and the ticket is not transferable.

Who is eligible?

As a brand-new or yet-to-launch podcaster who LOVES podcasting, you may be eligible for our scholarship. Having an active track record of being part of the Podcast Movement Facebook Community helps!

Who is not eligible?

The scholarships are reserved for those who have never before attended a Podcast Movement event, have not yet signed up for PM23, and are not in a position to attend the conference without financial assistance.

How can I apply?

Learn more and submit your application by Friday, July 7 at midnight. We will announce the recipients in our weekly newsletter on July 12, as well as in our Facebook group.

To wrap things up, we wanted to remind everyone of our Community and Event Codes of Conduct. As the online community continues to grow and evolve, and our next big in-person event gets closer, it's never a bad time to make sure that we are all respectful of one another.

With that said, we hope your week is going great, and we can't wait to be back in your inbox soon!
