Evolutions is Almost Sold Out! Plus a Bank-Robbing Keynote and Valentine’s Plans

Greetings PM Family,

We want to express our gratitude to you. We heard through feedback from you that you wanted PM to organize a second event, and we went back to the drawing board with the team to create something we are extremely proud of: Evolutions. And you answered the call in return.

Both the Creator Track and Industry Professional Track sold out last Wednesday morning, and the Professional Podcaster Track is on its way to selling out in the next few days.

We feel very fortunate to have such a supportive and committed community (you). You not only sell out the events and sell out our hotel room blocks, but when you're at the event, you truly are the most engaged and encouraging community we could hope for. We don't take your commitment, or the trust you put in us, lightly, and know that this is not possible without your continued support. Podcast Movement does not exist or flourish without your generosity.

We are excited to share with you the final keynote session for Evolutions this week. We also have some important updates regarding the Evolutions Valentine's Day party, the surprise virtual ticket that all registered attendees will have access to, the event app webinar replay, PM's Wikipedia page debut, and a reminder regarding PM20 speaker submissions in Dallas this August.

Let's get started!

Final Evolutions Keynote Announced!

The Score shares the Evolutions keynote stage with Shannon Cason.

Shannon Cason is the host of Homemade Stories & The Trouble Podcast. Podcast Movement is fortunate to have Shannon return to the keynote stage. Shannon will be speaking with the hosts of The Score: Bank Robber Diaries podcast to discuss the unique path that each host took to get to where they are now.

Their podcast is about Joe Loya – the so-called “Beirut Bandit”. He reveals his story of transformation from an abusive childhood to a prolific bank robber, violent convict, ex-con, writer and ultimately, a reconciled son. 14 months. 30 Banks. The podcast is an all-access pass into the mind of one of Southern California’s most prolific bank robbers.

Joe will be joined on stage by his producer and co-host, Peabody-Award winning podcaster Ben Adair (The Sterling Affairs, Dr. Death, Reveal) of Western Sound.

Shannon's ability to craft stories through asking questions will make this keynote with Joe and Ben one of the most interesting and entertaining sessions that we have ever had on one of our stages (which is saying a lot).

You won't want to miss it!

Evolutions Valentine's Day Party Update

Feel the Love with Podcast Movement! The Valentine's Party at Evolutions is sponsored by our very own PodMov Daily Newsletter! The party will be in a private area outside at Bonaventure Brewing Company from 7 pm to 9 pm, and is open to all registered attendees. Don't spend Valentine's alone!

The party is a short walk from the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Two free drink tickets are provided to the first 150 attendees, and a cash bar will be available after. We will also have acoustic music from PM family member Matt Gibson! The party will be a lot of fun and a great way to enjoy this Valentine's Day with the PM family.

Evolutions Virtual Ticket

We have an early Valentine's Day surprise! We're excited to announce that the Evolutions Virtual Ticket will be provided to all attendees, which includes audio recordings of every session that is a part of whichever track you're signed up for.

We're excited to partner with Storyboard to bring all attendees this opportunity at no additional cost.

We will have more information on this after the conclusion of the event.

Evolutions App Webinar Replay

The replay for the Evolutions app webinar is now available. We encourage you to review this video so that you can make sure you're getting the most out of the event app.

Speaker Submissions Are Open for PM20 in Dallas!

The Podcast Movement speaker submission form for PM20 in Dallas this August is open! We have received a number of submissions already. We strongly encourage you to consider putting together an idea for a presentation and filling out the online form below. Every year the sessions are more creative and packed with value. We are excited to see what you have to share with the community.

Podcast Movement is now on Wikipedia! Special thanks to Jonathan Baillie Strong for helping to get this established.

Evolutions is right around the corner. We hope that you can join us in LA. We'll shift focus soon over to the big event this summer in Dallas. If you cannot make it to LA this month, then we urge you to start planning and preparing for Podcast Movement 2020 in August!

Grateful,
Team PM
