The PM Community Represented at The Ambies

Greetings PM Family,

If you missed it, the first annual “The Ambies” awards for excellence in audio streamed live this weekend and were a great success! The Podcast Movement community was well-represented amongst the nominees last Sunday night in Los Angeles. We share some Ambies recap, and announce more amazing speakers for PM21 this August in Nashville. And as always, we'll wrap up with community updates!

The PM Community Represented at The Ambies

It was exciting to see the PM community participate in a major way at the 1st annual Ambies awards this past weekend. The awards were streamed online, with over 25,000 concurrent viewers live, and nearly 600,000 total viewers between Twitch and YouTube. What an incredible accomplishment for the podcasting industry as a whole!

Congratulations to the Podcast Movement Community members who took home awards, including the winners of the Best Interview Podcast (Death, Sex, & Money) and Best Wellness or Relationships Podcast (Therapy for Black Girls), Driving the Green Book (Macmillan Podcasts) won for Best History Podcast, and the recipient of the Governor's Award (WTF with Marc Maron)!

PM alumni such as Hernan Lopez and Rob Greenlee were part of the presenters at the awards. PM supporters and sponsors were represented, including Amazon Music, PRX, Tenderfoot TV, Wondery, and Adobe.

We were also proud to have PM community members and alumni speakers represented as nominees for awards. Congratulations to the teams from Ear Hustle, Frozen Frights: Aurora Borealis “Vacant,”Post Reports, What Next, American History Tellers, Latino USA, The Brookings Cafeteria, and ALL the other shows who were nominated.
