Major PM Virtual Keynote Announcement

Greetings PM Family,

We are delighted to share with you one of our biggest keynote speakers to date, across all Podcast Movement events! We also have several other awesome speaker and session additions to announce for PM Virtual.

If that were not enough, we are proud to share with you that the PM Virtual Scholarship Program is now open for any community members seeking to attend the conference, but are not able to do so due to financial constraints.

Mark Cuban
PM Virtual Keynote Speaker

Inside and beyond the business world, Mark Cuban is someone who needs no introduction. The owner of the Dallas Mavericks has been an entrepreneurial titan for over 30 years. As a keynote speaker at Podcast Movement’s first virtual event, Cuban brings an expert perspective on the intersections of business, media, technology, audio, and social causes.

Mark Cuban got into audio in 1995, five years after selling his tech company for $6 million. He and long-time friend Todd Wagner wanted to listen to Indiana Hoosiers basketball out in Texas. Their solution was Broadcast.com — streaming audio over the internet. In just four short years, Broadcast.com (then Audionet) would be sold to Yahoo for $5.6 billion.

Many people know Mark from the ABC show Shark Tank. He first appeared as a “Shark” in 2011 and became the first ever to live Tweet a TV show. He’s been a star of the hit business show ever since and is an investor in an ever-growing portfolio of small businesses.

As co-founder of 2929 Entertainment, Mark served as executive producer of movies that have been nominated for 7 Academy Awards: Good Night, and Good Luck, and Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.

Not a fan of unscrupulous business practices, Mark established Sharesleuth, a research and investigation website to uncover fraud in financial markets. He also endowed the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Mark Cuban Chair to Eliminate Dumbass Patents, an effort to fight patent trolls, and holds several tech patents himself.

We can't wait to welcome Mark Cuban to the keynote stage at PM Virtual, for a live conversation with Podcast Movement veteran speaker Erica Mandy, Founder and Host of The NewsWorthy.

His breadth of accomplishments have led to a better, smarter media ecosystem. He sees the big picture — and plays the long game. The podcasting world is facing massive growth, and Mark Cuban is one of the expert voices of the moment.
