Pod to Table: The Podcast Pavilion and the PM19 Marketing Track

Greetings PM Family,

We celebrate the Foodie theme in this week's newsletter! foodie is someone that enjoys food for pleasure. A few popular foodie podcasts include Proof, the Splendid Table, the Sporkful and Spilled Milk (again, to name a few).

Podcasters and Foodies are both passionate about putting together a crowd-pleasing final product. We will attempt to take our “mise en place,” or all the ingredients and tools necessary to prepare a certain recipe. We'll serve up this edition of the newsletter with the following focus: the Podcast Pavilion, the PM19 Marketing Track, the PM Daily Newsletter, and the 450 mile pizza delivery story!

Let's “Spill the Beans”!

Pizza Shop Worker Drives 450 miles to Deliver Pie to Man in Hospice Care

Dalton Shaffer, an 18-year-old pizzeria manager, drove an epic three and a half hours to deliver a dying man his favorite pizza at 2:30 in the morning. Then, he simply turned around and made the trek back home because he had to work the next morning.

The backstory.

People like Shaffer give us faith in humanity. They remind us that there’s still love left in the world, whether the act of kindness was performed by an individual or big corporate company. Your podcast has that same opportunity and power to impact your listeners.

Elsie Escobar is a Hall-of-Fame podcaster, arguably one of the most impactful voices in podcasting today, co-Founder of She Podcasts, manager of all things community at Libsyn. Elsie has stated publicly how podcasting saved her life.

Her new found love for podcasting gave her the courage to walk away from a bad situation, and lead her to a job doing what she loves at Libsyn. She inspires countless people around the world through her voice and experiences.

Your show may be the catalyst to inspire and save the lives of others who may need a laugh, hope, new friends, perspective, etc. We urge you to get started podcasting if you have been waiting for the right time. We implore you to keep perfecting your craft if you are already podcasting, but not seeing the results that you want just yet. We are here to help. It is possible for your voice to have a profound and lasting impact on others.

Keep Delivering the Pizzas (or Podcasts in this case),
