Greetings PM Family,
We are still blown away by your overwhelming support of Evolutions last week in LA, whether you were there in person or in spirit. Two of the three available tracks sold out, and we had nearly 1,300 registered attendees when it was all said and done. We are honored and humbled by the support of the community. Podcast Movement would not exist if you didn’t believe in these events, so thank you for continuing to do so!
If you missed any of the news coming out of the event, check out the PodMov Daily Recaps:

Good news: The 2020 fun has only begun! We have PM20 coming up this summer in Dallas, and it will be our biggest event ever!
This week, we want to share with you a quick recap video from Evolutions, the AMAZING “Squirrel Story,” discuss the latest info on upcoming PM Meetups, remind you of the open speaker submission process for PM20, and share an exciting win from the community in this week’s edition of the newsletter.
Evolutions Recap Video
One of our favorite stories from Evolutions is from a gentleman named Squirrel Rosenberg. Long story short: Squirrel and his wife were flying to Los Angeles for a relaxing few days before heading to Sonoma on a romantic getaway. They missed the original flight out of Newark, NJ, and had to take the next plane to LA. It was frustrating, but Squirrel’s wife sensed that this happened for a reason.
Neil asked Squirrel if he was planning to attend Evolutions. Squirrel had not heard about the event but was immediately interested. Neil told him about the conference, and Squirrel changed all of his plans for the LA stop. He and his wife agreed that they should attend the conference, and they showed up at the event and bought two tickets on-site!
Squirrel shared an excellent recap of his experience in this post. We love this story for many reasons. It displays courage and being intentional to invest, make the most of an opportunity, generous connections, as well as a willingness to learn and implement. We intend to stay in touch with Squirrel and excited to see the impact that this experience will have on his podcasting efforts and community.
PM Meetups: Save the Date – Feb. 29 in San Diego
Podcast Movement Meetups – We love to host free meetups when we are in various cities throughout the year. We hosted 13 meetups last year! Our first meetup for 2020 will be in San Diego on Saturday evening, February 29. We will share more information asap. You are welcome to email [email protected] with any questions.
We are also planning a meetup in Las Vegas and a pre-Podcast Movement regional meetup tour in May or June. The regional tour will likely have stops in Louisiana, all over Texas, and Oklahoma. We will post more information once we have it!
Speaker Submissions Are Closing Soon for PM20 in Dallas!
The Podcast Movement speaker submission form for PM20 in Dallas this August is closing soon! Do you have an excellent idea for a presentation or panel to share with the community? If so, we urge you not to miss this opportunity to share your expertise. We had over 800 submissions last year and are likely to end up with more this time. We are looking for creative and fresh takes on existing pain points within the industry and community. We also have the least amount of submissions currently in the Technical category. You’ve got this!
Evolutions Virtual Ticket Update
The Evolutions Virtual Ticket will be available soon to all attendees, which includes audio recordings of every session that is a part of whichever track you’re signed up for.
We’re excited to partner with Storyboard to bring all attendees this opportunity at no additional cost.
We will have more information on how to access this soon.
The Podcast Movement Facebook Group now has over 30,000 members! Please celebrate this milestone with us. We encourage you to share your podcast link or latest episode in the comments section of this celebratory (and admin approved) post!
Thank you again for your generous support! We can’t wait to see you at upcoming meetups and host you at PM20 in Dallas this summer. Please make plans to join us!
