Welcome back! We hope our American readers had a happy Thanksgiving. This week, we're diving into Podcast Movement news and exciting events coming up in the podcasting world.
Speaking of exciting events coming up – podcasts will be front and center like never before at the 26th Annual Webby Awards, dubbed “the Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times. Since 1996, The Webby Awards has honored the world’s best digital creators, media makers, inventors, artists, technologists, and innovators.
By participating, you can place your work on the same stage as boundary-pushing talent, like past Webby Winners Crooked Media, Spotify, The Washington Post, The Daily, Crimetown, Pivot, California Love, and Lemonada Media, to name a few.
Check out submission details, plus new categories for this year including Advice & How-To, Creativity & Marketing, Best-Co Hosts, and Health & Wellness. Learn more and enter before the Final Entry Deadline on Dec 17.
PM EVENT NEWS
We're partnering with Podcast Parties to throw Podcast Movement's Holiday Happy Hour. Grab a drink and join us tonight at 5:00 pm ET for some light mingling and networking with podcasters from all over the world. All are welcome! Free RSVP.
The Infinite Dial is America’s longest-running survey of digital media consumer behavior in America, created by Edison Research and tracked annually since 1998. In 2022, The Infinite Dial will take place live at Evolutions, this March 23-26 in Los Angeles.
“We tried to get Infinite Dial in front of a live audience in March of 2020, but history intervened at the last minute,” says Edison Research SVP Tom Webster. “Two years later, with the help of Podcast Movement, Edison Research is delighted to be able to realize this vision, and we can’t wait to see you all in LA as we reveal the very latest stats for the podcast industry and beyond.”
Stay tuned for more details and learn more about Evolutions 2022 here.
Next Monday, December 13 at 8:00 pm ET, evmux developer Elad Rosanski will join PM to discuss “How to Leverage Live Streaming to Elevate Your Personal Brand.” Held on Facebook Live, the session will cover video, live podcasting, and the evolution of hybrid (recorded and live) content. Join the PM Community Facebook group to view the free session.

There is a lot of room for error when it comes to podcast editing. We asked seasoned podcasters in our PM community on Twitter what editing advice they have to offer. Shoutout to Cinematic Sound Radio podcast for these helpful editing tips.
